What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or be overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

A Simple Grounding Activity
Sit comfortably, close your eyes and take a couple of deep breathes.
Inhale to a count of 4, hold for 2 seconds, and exhale to a count of 4
Now open your eyes and look around you. What are:
5 – things you can see
4 – things you can feel
3 – things you can hear
2 – things you can smell
1 – thing you can taste
